Five years ago, I only knew of Michael Jackson as a super famous mysterious entity who passed away suddenly.  Of course I knew him as the “king of pop” and I knew of his major hits, but to me, he was just another celebrity who became troubled after his career peak and as a result, died too young.

In those five years since, I have listened to all of Michael’s albums, demos, interviews, anything and everything.  I normally just listen to music and don’t necessarily look into the artists themselves, but with Michael it was different.  For the first time in my entire life, I felt connected with the music and its creator.  Since we live in a generation where a majority of the music is created by writers for a singer, learning of an artist who composed and subsequently performed his work at an unprecedented level caused me to truly love and appreciate Michael.

I love not only his passion for music, but also his compassion, his work ethic, and his humbleness.  He is my only celebrity role model, and I feel as though I have a friendship with him.  His music has gotten through really tough times in my life, and I thank him so much for that.

Although I was a “late fan” I really miss him and wish I had appreciated his music more when he was alive.  That being said, he will always live in fans’ hearts, and frankly, music history.

Michael Jackson will always be the King of Pop and the best artist to ever live.

8/29/1958 - 6/25/2009 forever

the-man-in-the-mirror:

On this day, June 25th 2009 , Michael Joseph Jackson was pronounced dead at the age of 50. All though he was due to do a set of 50 record breaking show performances in London , Jackson never got to set his precious feet up on another stage. He is considered the greatest music entertainer of all time, winning every possible music award, and leaving behind his albums, which are considered to be the greatest selling albums of all time. He was a gift from God , and his music and message of love and his humanitarian acts will continue to inspire millions around the world who will spread the same message and pass it on from generation to generation. May this wonderful creature, this gift from above never be forgotten by any of us. Also, I would like to use this and to apologize to Michael for all the pain we, as a human race caused him. You gave us your life, your music, your albums. You gave us all you had. I’m sorry we took it for granted. I love you and God bless you . Long live the King of POP!

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MICHAEL JACKSON HAS BEEN THROUGH AND YOU SHOULD CONSIDER YOUR PATHETIC, UNGRATEFUL ASS LUCKY TO HAVE EVER EVEN HEARD ONE SECOND OF ONE OF HIS MAGICAL RECORDS IN YOUR ENTIRE PATHETIC IRRELEVANT LIFE. IT'S BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT TODAY THERE ARE VERY LITTLE AMAZING ARTISTS OUT THERE THAT LAST. ALL YOU PEOPLE DO IS TAKE THOSE ARTIST AND PUT THEM UNDER A MICROSCOPE, POINTING OUT THEIR FLAWS, PICKING AT THEIR APPEARANCES, SLOWLY BREAKING THEM DOWN AND TEARING THEM LIMB FROM LIMB AND THEN GO AND CRITICIZE THEM FOR CHANGING TO MEET YOUR STUPID EXPECTATIONS. MICHAEL'S NOSE WAS TOO BIG? HE TRIED TO FIX THAT. HE WAS TOO DARK? HE TRIED TO FIX THAT. YOU THOUGHT HE WAS GAY? HE GOT MARRIED AND PROVED TO YOU THAT HE WAS A HETEROSEXUAL. NOTHING WAS EVER ENOUGH FOR YOU FUCKING VULTURES. NOW YOU HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME, UTTERING APOLOGIES FOR YOUR HARSHNESS AND NOW WE DON'T WANT THEM. HE'S GONE. YOU FUCKING WON. YOU TOOK HIM DOWN. YOU BROKE THE MOST PERFECT ANGEL TO EVER WALK EARTH.
